Temporal Interference is new installation/performance piece that I have been working on with the Jane Franklin Dance company at The Warehouse Theater . The concept is to explore aspects of space and memory, and how it can effect those around us.
I will again be using a Theremin as a proximity sensor, but this time there is the added dimension of music written by composer Gina Biver. Her music will form a framework, in many cases the dancers motions will trigger new compositional elements to create a completely new work for each performance.
There will be three performances each day, and will feature several dancers, live video, sound and interactive sculptural elements. Jane's work is amazing, based on her company's recent performance at Dance Place in DC. It's been a lot of fun working with her and with Gina, am looking forward to a really fun event.
